All requirements to be followed and completed prior to inspection:
- Maximum burn pile size allowed is 5ft X 5ft.
- Minimum of 30ft clearance around pile to be burned. Pile to be on bare dirt.
- Pressurized water supply must reach around the entire burn pile.
- Only one cooking/ceremonial fire at a time.
- Per APCD section 41855 do not burn any green material. No burning materials 4 inches or more in diameter.
- Only natural fuels are allowed to be burned. Do not burn any man-made materials such as processed wood or trash.
- Extinguish all cooking/ceremonial fuels completely prior to leaving it unattended. This includes smoldering and/or hot coals.
- Any change in fire location or type of material to be burned requires fire district notification and a new inspection.
- You must call prior to start of fire to verify if it is a burning day.
- This permit is valid for the day issued and that day only and must be re-issued for a new cooking/ceremonial fire.
- This permit is NOT valid for agricultural burning.

- Maximum burn pile size is 10ft X 10ft
- Minimum of 30ft clearance around pile. Pile to be on bare dirt.
- An adult 18 years of age or older must be in attendance at all times while the pile is burning.
- Pressurized water supply must reach around the entire burn pile.
- Only one burn pile permitted; others must be fed into main pile.
- Do not burn if wind speeds exceed 5mph in any direction.
- Only natural vegetation and trimmings are allowed to be burned. No man made materials are allowed; i.e, processed lumber or trash.
- Per APCD section 41855 no green material is allowed to be burned. Vegetation and trimmings 1 inch in diameter or less must be dried a minimum of 30 days prior to burning. Vegetation and trimmings 1 to 4 inches must be dried a minimum of 90 days prior to burning.
- Nothing 4 inches or larger in diameter shall be burned.
- Brush that has been cleared for development does not meet burn requirements and is prohibited from being burned.
- Any change in burn pile location or type of material being burned must be reported to the Fire District. A new inspection will have to be conducted before pile can be burned.
- The burn pile must be completely extinguished by the designated ending time. No smoke or smoldering should be visible at that time.
- Permit must be available on site upon request from the Fire District.
- Prior to starting your burn each day you must call to first establish if it is a permitted burning day.
