Welcome to your Fire District's new website.

We hope that it will answer your questions and provide the information you are looking for.

The fire fighting services of the District are provided under contract with CAL FIRE, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. These highly trained professionals operate under the direction of Battalion Chief Ernie Marugg who also serves as our fire chief.

Our number of residents in our District has grown steadily over the past few years and your Fire District has kept pace. We now have three stations plus one manned by CAL FIRE that serve our 13,000 residents. Every station is staffed with 3 or 4 CAL FIRE professionals including a paramedic. We are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

This fall, the District will be joining the Deer Springs Fire Safe Council in the implementation of a U.S. Forest Service grant to reduce dangerous vegetation along the Moosa Canyon ridgeline. Future projects will target the West Lilac and North Broadway area.

There are many volunteer opportunities within our neighborhood so please, don't hesitate to contact us if you wish to help make all of us more fire safe.
